JOIN THE BIOTECH FUTURES

JOURNAL CLUB

The BIOTech Futures Journal Club aims to engage Australian high school students. Students will receive access to published literature from leading authors in areas such as biotechnology, medical technology and environment science. Students from regional and remote areas and students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are encouraged to apply.

In monthly Zoom meetings, students will be joined by the author of the provided papers and will be able to discuss the issues raised with them directly.

Our goal in the Journal Club is to show Australian students from disadvantaged backgrounds how Australian scientists. engineers and physicians are addressing some of the greatest local and global issues of the future.

BIOTech Futures pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land, to all Elders past and present, and to First Nations people everywhere. First Nations people have used science for over 65,000 years. Our culture is the oldest in the world. The first scientists passed on the lessons of the land, sea and sky, to the future scientists of today through stories, song and dance.
