BIOTech Futures is a competition founded in 2019 by students at the University of Syndey. Over 4 weeks small groups of students are paired with a mentor to solve a health, sustainability, environment, medicine, or humaniatarian challenge. This provides a unique opportunity to explore some key issues and new technology. Teams submit a poster of their findings and finalists are invited to present at our Symposium event. This year's winners will be sponsored to fly-out to the NSW BIOTech Futures Symposium in Sydney.

Key Dates:

Competition: 31st July - 25th August

Symposium: 4th September

BIOTech Futures pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land, to all Elders past and present, and to First Nations people everywhere. First Nations people have used science for over 65,000 years. Our culture is the oldest in the world. The first scientists passed on the lessons of the land, sea and sky, to the future scientists of today through stories, song and dance.
