2026 BIOTech Futures MENTOR Registrations Open Now!

Every innovation starts with someone willing to share their knowledge.

The 2026 BIOTech Futures Challenge is now accepting applications for mentors to support high school students as they explore real world challenges in medicine, sustainability, and emerging technologies. Whether you are a university student, researcher, OR industry professional, this is an opportunity to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators while developing your own leadership and mentoring skills.

What’s involved?

Throughout the Challenge, mentors work alongside student teams, provide guidance as they research, refine ideas, and help develop innovative solutions to their challenge. Mentoring is designed to be flexible, requiring roughly 5 hours per team for the duration of The Challenge (6 weeks) with options of mentoring up to 5 teams with communication in a medium of your choice (zoom, email, etc.)

Who can apply?

Applications are open to individuals with experience or an interest in science, engineering, technology, medicine, and related disciplines. Whether you can mentor one team or several, your support can help students build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and bring innovative ideas to life.
